Power Distributor - Definition

Power distributors are electrical devices or appliances that are used to distribute electrical power from a main power source to several separate circuits or devices.

Power distribution is important in server rooms, data centers and other IT infrastructures to ensure a reliable power supply for computers, servers, network equipment and other electronic devices. A power distribution board comprises various components, such as: Circuit breakers, sockets, switchboards, cabling or monitoring equipment.

These components enable the targeted distribution and control of electrical energy and ensure protection against power failures.
