IT Remarketing - Definition

IT Remarketing is the remarketing of used hardware after certified data destruction and refurbishment. This extends the life cycle of IT equipment and conserves resources.

These decommissioned IT products, such as laptops, servers or computers, for example: Laptops, servers or computers come from companies, banks, insurance companies or public institutions. The products are checked for functionality, closely inspected and, if necessary, brought up to date. They are then resold on the market. The refurbished products also benefit from a high level of sustainability, as the renewal of computers saves enormous amounts of resources compared to new production and significantly reduces CO2 emissions.

The advantages of IT remarketing are the reduction of electronic waste, the saving of resources, the cost savings for buyers and the reuse of older technology.
