The SonicWall SMA100 series will be deactivated (end-of-life) on 31 October 2025, as the end-of-support date has been brought forward to 1 October 2025. From this date onwards, all SMA100 devices will lose connectivity and will no longer function. This means that security updates, technical support and other services will no longer be available.

The reason for bringing forward the end-of-support date to 1 October 2025 is the increasing risks and vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers. In addition, the security standards of SMA100 devices no longer meet the current level required by SonicWall. All SMA100 devices will lose both connectivity and functionality. After the end of support, SonicWall will offer a replacement that will facilitate the transition to a secure and modern remote access solution, either by switching to the SMA1000 series (secure remote access for businesses) or by upgrading to Cloud Secure Edge (cloud-native remote access solution).
If you own an SMA100 appliance and trade it in before 31 October 2025, you will not only receive a 52% discount on a 3-year Cloud Secure Edge (CSE) licence, but also the opportunity to licence up to four times as many users as on your old SMA100 devices. In addition, SonicWall Professional Services are available to ensure a seamless transition.
Alternatively, you can upgrade to the SonicWall SMA1000 series, which increases your organisation's productivity and security through secure end-to-end remote access to corporate resources.
