IT Supply Chain - Definition

IT supply chain describes a supply chain that covers the entire logistics chain from the supplier of raw materials to the end consumer.

These raw materials are transported by various means of transportation, such as trucks, aircraft or ships: trucks, airplanes or ships. The security of these supply chains is very important, as they enable a functioning economy through smooth production processes. However, it can happen that these supply chains are permanently interrupted, e.g. due to problems on transport routes, operational disruptions at suppliers or delays caused by customs authorities. These disruptions can lead to loss of sales or additional costs.

Financial risks can be avoided through professional supply chain management. This management includes the administration and development of integrated logistics chains across the entire value creation process.
