“IT” stands for “information technology” and includes all technical resources that are used to store, generate, archive and use digital information.
To simplify matters, IT is categorized into three superordinate systems. These include hardware and software as well as related services. Hardware includes mobile devices, PCs, monitors, printers, etc. Software includes operating systems and applications, i.e. application programs. Services include hardware and software maintenance, software installations and consulting services.
Today, IT plays a crucial role in almost all aspects of modern life, as it meets the needs of companies, organizations and individuals.
