The abbreviation EOS usually stands for “End-of-Service” or “End-of-Support”, which is largely synonymous. The abbreviation EOSL (End-of-Service-Life) can also be used.

EOS means that the provider discontinues support for the devices. It is still possible to use them. However, there may be certain security risks. Nevertheless, there are cases in which it is still worth using them. In this case, however, the user is responsible for the maintenance and security of the devices.
