Black Hat Hacker - Definition

Black hat hackers are cybercriminals who infiltrate computer networks with malicious or illegal intent and cause damage to them. This damage includes stealing personal data (passwords, credit cards, etc.), destroying data or taking computers hostage. They also want to gain unauthorized access and therefore act without the consent of the owners.

Black hat hackers act out of their own intention to commit malicious acts and spread chaos. Their approach is to buy hacking tools and exploit companies' security vulnerabilities. They may also pose as a reputable company or warranty and customer services to gain the victim's trust.

Many black hat hackers refer to phishing or create their own malware. It is therefore very important to set up protective measures to protect yourself against black hat hackers.
