A backup is a backup copy of data that can be created manually by a user or automatically by software. The copy can be stored either on the computer, an external hard disk, a simple USB stick or in a cloud.
In the event of system failures, hardware crashes or theft, you can restore your data from a backup. However, only the data from the last backup can be restored, so it is advantageous to carry out regular and complete backups to prevent data loss.
